Panchayat Minister on Monday announced some major plans for Bogmalo, which includes boating and kayaking at a lake in Bogmalo to promote tourism.
Godinho was speaking to reporters after inaugurating the newly constructed retaining wall along with beautification that included seating arrangements and aesthetic lighting along the beach in the presence of Bogmalo Sarpanch Sankalp Mahale and others.
“We are planning to have boating at this beautiful and peaceful village which will add to more touristic activity here,” Godinho told reporters after the inauguration.
“We will also approach a nearby starred hotel to help us in beautifying this area further. We will make Bogmalo even better and while we promote tourism through the beach, we will also utilise a nearby lake for boating purpose for kayaking activity,” said Godinho.
“As far as Chicalim is concerned, we are soon going to inaugurate the expansion of the Jogger’s Park, a new sewage treatment plant, a faecal waste treatment plant and a new garbage treatment plant which will only add more facilities to the entire Dabolim constituency,” said Godinho.
