At the official function held at the Menezes Braganza Hall, Panaji, Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari congratulated the new voters and urged the Election Commission to make voting a smooth process.
“Right to vote is very noble. We vote for the future of our State. It is a very responsible and democratic process. The addition, deletion process in the electoral roll must be streamlined. Let the entire process be transparent while keeping its sanctity intact,” he said.
The National Voter’s Day (NVD) pledge was administered along with presentation of a street play by Kala Academy’s Goa College of Theatre Arts students, followed by felicitation of new voters and presentation of Awards.
