Man assaulted at Borda, hospitalised

A 32-year-old man was suspected to have been allegedly assaulted by eight persons at Borda in Margao on Sunday.
According to Margao town police, the incident ocurred early on the morning on Sunday, when a group of eight persons are suspected to have allegedly assaulted the victim, one Prashant (32), a resident of Zariwada-Davorlim, with weapons such as danda, etc.
Police claimed to have identified four of the suspects as Aarav, Shani, Sai and Mushtaq while four others are unknown. All are yet to be arrested and are still at large, informed police.
The victim is grievously injured and the police have registered an offence under Section 143, 147, 148, 307 r/w 149 of IPC. PSI Kamat is investigating.
