Ponda police arrested Kush Naik (48) of Durgabhat-Ponda on Wednesday on charges of assaulting Ajay Kumar (30), presently residing at Margao, for not paying up the pending rent.
According to police reports, Kumar was residing at Naik’s place on rental basis and later shifted to Margao.
A few days ago, Kumar went to visit his brother who also stays at Naik’s place, when the two entered into an argument over the pending rent.
Naik is was accused of having assaulted Kumar, causing him leg injuries. Ponda police are investigating the case.
