MARGAO: A 38-year-old man from Uttara Kannada, Karnataka, died after reportedly being struck by lightning at Colva late on Thursday.
He was brought dead to the South Goa District Hospital’s casualty ward the same night.
Police said the man was found lying unconscious outside his rented room.
A post-mortem examination confirmed that he died of cardiorespiratory arrest caused by an electrical injury. The body was later handed over to his family for the final rites.
