A 54-year-old man from New Vaddem was killed in a mishap when two motorcycles collided with each other near the MES College Junction on Wednesday night.
According to sources in Verna police, Pradeep Yadav (28) of Madhya Pradesh but residing at Aman colony near MES College has been arrested in this connection.
Yadav is alleged to have driven his scooter in a rash and negligent manner while proceeding from the internal road of MES College towards Birla Market Side and when he reached near the MES Signal Junction Zuarinagar, collided with a motorcycle proceeding from Queeny Junction towards Dabolim Airport side.
The motorcycle rider Prasad Laxman Phondakar (54) of New Vaddem succumbed to injuries while on the way to the Sub-District Hospital at Chicalim.
Verna PSI Sanket Talkar is investigating the case under the supervision of PI Diago Gracias.
