Goa will host around 800 innovators from India and more than 60 countries for a three-week programme in Mandrem, as the State seeks to establish itself as a destination for technology, research and entrepreneurship.
Tourism and IT Minister Rohan Khaunte said at a press conference on Saturday that the first Indian edition of Edge City will be held from October 11 to November 1. It will bring together founders, scientists, engineers, investors, researchers and creators to collaborate on emerging technologies, artificial intelligence (AI), wellness and decentralised systems.
The programme will feature collaborative workspaces, research initiatives, workshops, hackathons and founder programmes. A key component, Ground Floor, will bring international AI practitioners together with Goan business owners, civic leaders, government representatives and researchers to explore practical applications of AI in the local economy and public life.
Hacker House Goa and a hackathon focusing on AI and cryptocurrency development are scheduled from October 28 to 31.
The Goa AI Tech Conclave 2026 is scheduled for October 22 and 23.
