Public Works Department Minister Digambar Kamat joined the Manovikas family on World Environment Day as they came together to reflect, learn and act for a more sustainable future.

The programme began with a thought-provoking documentary, ‘What If We Lost the Amazon Rainforest?’, which encouraged everyone to think about the consequences of environmental neglect. The atmosphere then came alive as the talented students of Manovikas welcomed the chief guest, Digambar Kamat, with a soulful thematic presentation.

Addressing the gathering, Kamat praised Manovikas for setting an inspiring example in environmental protection and sustainable development through its consistent initiatives.

The occasion also celebrated achievement, with three students being felicitated for bringing laurels to the institution through their outstanding performances in Chess, Karate and Odissi dance at national and international levels.

Chairman Jose Manuel Noronha spoke about the impact of human activities on the environment and encouraged young minds to think carefully about emerging environmental challenges.

Trustee Dr Priyanka Talak highlighted the institution’s commitment to environmental education, while Principal Geetanjali Rallabandi proposed the vote of thanks.

The event was attended by Director Mayalin Noronha, principals of all sections, trustees and other distinguished guests, whose presence added significance to the occasion.

As the world continues to face climate challenges, Manovikas reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing environmentally conscious citizens who can become agents of positive change.
