The Mapusa Municipal Corporation (MMC) has earned a whopping Rs 16.72 lakh from the Mapusa fair which was set up during the Mapusa Church feast.
The fair had taken place on a low key during the last two years on account of the Covid pandemic, but this year it was conducted with the traditional fanfare, drawing huge crowds to the fair.
The Church feast was celebrated on May 2 and dozens of stalls were set up along the streets, selling various items like clothes, toys, furniture and food items.
