Vision Hospital at Duler-Mapusa on Saturday opened the Vision Neuro Rehabilitation Centre equipped with modern technology for patients.
Goa Medical Hospital College Dean Prof Jai Prakash Tiwari inaugurated the centre in the presence of Vision Hospital Director and Bicholim MLA Dr Chandrakant Shetye, Sabaji Shetye, the hospital's medical team, officers and employees.
In his address, Dr Tiwari said patients recovering from a serious illness like paralysis or after being discharged from the intensive care unit, need such rehabilitation centres to resume their daily lives and stand on their own feet in the outside world.
Dr Tiwari commended Dr Shetye and his team for setting up this facility at Vision Hospital.
Dr Chandrakant Shetye said the aim of Vision Hospital is to provide better quality and advanced healthcare to patients of Goa.
Through this centre, the state-of-the-art facilities of neuro rehabilitation will be available under one roof, he said.
The neuro rehab centre provides advanced treatment methods such as post-surgical rehabilitation, muscle stimulation therapy, dizziness and balance training, wheelchair skills training, and pain management, Dr Shetye added.
