The three women are hailing from Pune, Mumbai and Kolkata and had come down to the State on Monday. The names of the two accused persons were provided as Vinod Kumar Yadav and Maendra Singh Karbanda, both natives of Delhi, but presently residing at Candolim.
Acting on a tip off, a police team descended in the open space at a commercial complex near the new Collectorate building and arrested the two pimps, who were in a Swift car.
Police said while two of the three women were standing outside the car, the others were seated inside.
“We had information that the pimps along with the women would come near the commercial complex on Thursday evening, accordingly, our team was drafted for the job and nabbed the two pimps and rescued the three girls”, informed PI Louvina Dias.
The police are investigating.  Sex rackets have taken Goa by storm in recent times with Goa police busting an inter-state high-profile sex racket involving some actors and models a couple of months back. Five persons including the racket’s kingpin were arrested.
