The Madgao Shigmotsav Samiti will hold the Shigmo parade in the commercial capital on Sunday, March 16 from Holy Spirit Church to Margao Municipal Square.
The Committee has decided to offer coconut to Shree Lord Dambab on March 10 at 10.30 am. This will be followed by a Satyanarayan Mahapooja in the evening.
Addressing the media in the presence of Margao Municipal Chairperson Damu Shirodkar, Navelim MLA Ulhas Tuemkar said that Sor and Rot will be offered to Dev Jageshwar Rakhandar at 6.30 pm on Wednesday.
He said the Margao Shigmo will be held on March 16 by offering the Suvari Vaadan at Shigmo office along with Suvari parade.
The Feto of traditional of Shigmo will be offered to Lord Dambab, before the Suvari Vaadan proceed to main event venue at Municipal Square, he said.
The Shigmo parade will be flagged off by Chief Minister Pramod Swant, Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte, Margao MLA Digambar Kamat. BJP President Damodar (Damu) Naik, Navelim MLA Ulhas Tuenkar, Fatorda MLA Vijay Sardesai, Curtorim MLA Alex Reginaldo, MMC VCP Babita Naik along with all MMC Councillors, ZP Paresh Naik, all the Sarpanchas and Panch members of Navelim and Curtorim Constituency will be present on the occasion.
