While Senia defeated Anita Kenkre 6-4 votes in her favour, De Sa was elected unopposed after the nomination paper of Manuel (Manu) D’Silva was rejected for want of a proposer. Educiana Rodrigues alias Baby, who was present for the meeting, left before the voting could take place.
As expected, Martha Saldanha and Ferwin Saldanha were unanimously elected sarpanch and deputy respectively of Cansaulim-Arossim-Cuelim Panchayat.
In Velsao-Pale-Issorcim, Henrique D’Mello and Silvia D’Souza were unanimously elected sarpanch and deputy sarpanch respectively.
