With people severely affected on account of a water shortage for five days in Pernem taluka, local MGP leader Pravin Arlekar distributed water through 20 tankers to affected people from Pernem constituency.
"It is the State government's first and foremost responsibility to provide something as basic as water to the people. The PWD should have had alternative plans when it decided to announce water shortage for five days in Pernem taluka. Many people complained of acute water shortage and so, the MGP decided to distribute water through tankers," said Arlekar.
