Tourism Minister and local MLA Rohan Khaunte appealed to voters to elect BJP ZP candidates from Penha De Franca and Socorro, with a huge margin of votes, for the development of Porvorim and the overall welfare of state.
He was speaking at crowded corner meetings held today in Penha de França at Kavlekar super Market and Socorro's at 20 Point Colony as part of the BJP’s ZP election campaign. On the dais with him were Penha de Franca candidate Sandeep Salgaonkar, BJP State vice President KundaTai Chodankar, Sr BJP leader Govind Parvatkar, BJP ST Morcha President Dattaram Redkar, Former ZP member Gupesh Naik, Mandal President Vineet Parab, & PDF Panchayat panch members at PDF Kavlekar super Market Meeting. whereas at Socorro 20 Point colony meeting candidate Amit Asnodkar, Socorro Sarpanch Sonia Pednekar, Kundatai Chodankar along with other dignitaries were on dais.
Khaunte urged voters not to fall prey to false propaganda by the opposition and to support the BJP for the development work it has carried out. He said that over the past few days, both candidates have reached out to voters through corner meetings and door-to-door visits. He added that the BJP has fielded capable and dedicated candidates and asked voters to bless them with their support.
He said that the Central and State government have worked tirelessly to provide quality infrastructure such as roads, bridges, electricity, drinking water, and healthcare facilities. Assuring that this development momentum will continue in the future, he appealed to voters to give the BJP an opportunity at the Zilla Panchayat level as well, so that people can continue to receive the best facilities.
Khaunte described Salgaonkar and Asnodkar as strong, energetic, and dynamic leaders who are deeply committed to social service. He said that their dedication to public welfare makes them deserving candidates and appealed to voters to strengthen the BJP by electing such hardworking representatives, with huge margin.
Speaking on the occasion, Parvatkar said that during the Congress government at centre, there were repeated scams at all levels, but the situation has changed today. He said India has made significant progress economically and is moving towards becoming one of the world’s strongest economies in the near future.
