Panchayats Minister Mauvin Godinho on Sunday reviewed the works of phase two of the Joggers park in Chicalim while also announcing to take up a multi-purpose sports ground and a Mahila Bhavan in the area.
Godinho speaking to reporters during a function organised by Sancoale ZP Anita Thorat said that he wanted to be connected with the people of his constituency and take up development works for the benefit of the people.
"I am also reviewing the works on the phase 2 of Joggers park and also see of any improvement can be done to enhance the project further," he said.
The programme was organised by Sancoale ZP Anita Thorat to give benches to the Joggers park under ZP Funds because old benches had corroded after works began on renovation and upgradation of the Joggers park .
"The park needed new benches immediately and the same was arranged under ZP funds and at the same time, we distributed sports kits as well. We are coming up with a multi-purpose ground for playing cricket, football and Futsal under CSR and we will also be taking up Mahila Bhavan to help self-help groups for the betterment of women and society, " said Godinho
Sancoale ZP Anita Thorat said that the plan was to ensure maximum benefit to locals using the ZP Funds.
" As usual, we are utilising ZP funds and offering equipment and important items for the benefit of the people. We have distributed sports kits to people and also given benches to Joggers park which is a beautiful park taken up by the initiative of Panchayats Minister Mauvin Godinho. We will also develop and beautify a lot of open spaces in and around our ZP Constituency. We are also developing the Dabolim ground and the work order for this work will be issued shortly," said Thorat.
Sports kits were given to many people under ZP Funds and new benches were also offered during the function at the hands of Panchayats Minister Mauvin Godinho in the presence of Sancoale ZP Anita Thorat, Chicalim Dy Sarpanch Kamla Prasad Yadav, and others.
