Minister urged to upgrade Carmona sub-health centre

MARGAO
The Cavelossim panchayat has dashed off a letter to Health Minister Vishwajit Rane with a plea to upgrade the existing sub-health centre situated in the neighbouring village of Carmona.

In his letter, Cavelossim Sarpanch Dixon Vaz drew attention of the Health Minister that the sub-health centre at Carmona is presently running with minimum health services.

“The tourist village of Cavelossim is playing host to both national and international tourists who find it difficult to travel to Margao or have to depend on private hospitals. The Primary Health Centre at Chinchinim is catering to many villages and is very busy and sometimes the centre refers patients to the District hospital at Margao,” Cavelossim Sarpanch stated in his letter.

Cavelossim Sarpanch underscored the need for a health centre in the future which will be beneficial to locals as well to the tourists.
