The Pramod Sawant-led administration has effected a minor reshuffle in the senior level of the bureaucracy shifting Grade I officer of the Goa Civil Service cadre Venancio Furtado as Inspector General of Prisons.
Another top officer Derrick Netto has been moved as managing director of Goa Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC). Netto has also got additional charge of MD, Kadamba Transport Corporation (KTC) Ltd.
Brijesh Manerkar has been appointed special land acquisition officer at the Economic Development Corporation (EDC) with additional charge of Member Secretary, Goa Football Development Corporation and Ashutosh Apte will be the new State Registrar and head of Notary Services.
Shivaji Dessai has been appointed Director of Public Grievances and he will also officiate as Additional Secretary (Protocol) while Vasudev Shetye has been posted as Additional Inspector General of Prisons and he will also officiate as Superintendent of Jails.
