A 44-year-old native of Belagavi died, while two others were injured in a road accident at Agassaim bypass road on Tuesday. One person has been arrested in this connection.
According to Agassaim Police, Manoj Kognoli (40) of Sangli-Maharashtra was proceeding in Wagon-R (MH-09-BM-3250) from Agassaim to Bambolim, when his vehicle dashed against an oncoming Nissan-X-Trail (GA-03-K-5813).
Police further said the occupant Prokul Gaurama sustained grievous injuries and was declared dead in casualty, while other occupant from Belgaum and the accused driver sustained minor injuries. Accused driver Kognoli has been arrested and police is investigating the case.
