Four minor Bihari children residing in Bicholim town, who had gone missing on Monday, were found at Mapusa on Tuesday.
According to Bicholim police, the two girls and two boys from Bihar along with a Bihari youth, all residing at Shantaramnagar in Bordem-Bicholim had gone to the Tillari canal area on Monday evening.
Someone clicked photos of the four children on a mobile phone and sent them to their parents. This scared the four children and they disappeared from the site.
When the children went missing, the parents complained with the Bicholim police.
Acting on the complaint, Bicholim police conducted a search operation till late Monday night.
Police also search the forest areas of Nanora in Bicholim, since the last known location of the mobile phones belonging to the children was traced in Nanora.
On Tuesday, Bicholim police located the mobile phone signals of the children in Mapusa.
The children were later found in Mapusa and were handed over to their parents.
However, the Bihari youth who was along with the four minors has been absconding after realising that the police was in search of the missing children.
Bicholim police has filed an offence against the Bihari youth and is further investigating the matter.
