Missing youth’s body found

The Colva police on Monday recovered the body of a youngster, who along with another youth, had gone missing at the Utorda beach on Sunday.

The two youth along with a group of youngsters had reportedly gone to the beach on Sunday evening. The duo hailing from Chadrawado-Fatorda had gone missing when they were in the water.

The body of the 20-year old youngster was found at the Colva beach on Monday. The body was later sent to the mortuary for preservation.

Illegally extracted sand seized in joint operation at Nadora, Pirna

MAPUSAOfficials in a joint operation seized 181 cubic metres of sand illegally extracted from the Chapora River at Nadora and Pirna on Sunday midnight.The officials first seized 30 cubic metres at Chandai-Pirna and later seized 151 cubic meters of sand from nine different sites at Kadshel in Nadora.Those who took part in the operations included Deputy Collector Deepak Waingankar, Joint Mamledar Sandip Gaude, Deputy Captain of Ports Premlal Shirsaikar, mines department…
