Says 95% of 2012 poll promises fulfilled

Defense Minister Manohar Parrikar stated that the BJP government has secured the country's borders and for the first time they have shown that Indians do not have to bow down to enemy countries.
He was speaking during Vijay Sankalp of BJP organised by BJP Mayem unit at Gaonkarwada-Mayem on Sunday. Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar, Deputy Chief Minister Francis D’Souza, Speaker Anant Shet, Minister Mahadev Naik, Sakhali MLA Dr Pramod Sawant, North Goa ZP president Ankita Navelkar, Mayem ZP member Shankar Chodankar, BJP State president Vinay Tendulkar, sarpanchas, panchas and others were present.
Speaking further, Parrikar said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made history of attacking Pakistani troops, who were bent upon attacking India without any reason. “This stringent action against Pakistan has led to teaching them a lesson,” he added.
He said demonetisation will turn out to be detrimental to political parties which have hoarded money for using it during election. “Demonetisation has also turned out to be detrimental to terrorists, as they used to use the banned currencies for terrorist activities.”
Speaking about Goa, he said in Goa, BJP is getting good support from the people and this support made him the chief minister and then the defense minister.
“In Goa, BJP is getting strong support and there is no need of publicity as everyone knows about our work. Through the Vijay Sankalp rallies, about one lakh people have heard us,” he said and added that they have fulfilled about 95 percent of their promises given during last assembly election.
He said the issues of custodian of evacuee property of Mayem and Chorao-Ribandar and Salvador-do-Mundo bridges will be solved as early as possible, as land acquisition process is in the final stage.
He added that a new project costing Rs 10,000 crore has been approved for Goa, which would help Goa to become a self sufficient State in every respect besides solving unemployment problem.
Chief Minister Parsekar said the government has decided not to hurry up in distributing Sanads to the people of Mayem prior to the assembly election to solve the custodian of evacuee property of Mayem, as the government wants to solve the issue permanently. He added that BJP in the State had done all-round development.
Deputy Chief Minister D’Souza said as far is health ministry is concerned, the government has made good development.
Anant Shet assured to make Mayem the number 1 constituency in Goa, especially in tourism besides supporting agriculture. Minister Mahadev Naik, Dr Sawant and others also spoke.
