Modi, Shah will pay for ‘vote chori’, says Rahul

MARGAO: Dwelling at length on the vote chori campaign against the government, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Sunday assured Congress workers that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah would face justice and pay the price for what they had done to the Constitution of India.

“To protect the Constitution is our dharma. Those who have indulged in vote chori and attacked the Constitution have attacked our religion. Just wait and see, both Modi and Shah will face justice and pay the price for what they have done to the Constitution,” he told Congress workers.

He alleged that Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar implements the vote chori operation, which is operationalised by Home Minister Amit Shah and planned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Claiming that votes of opposition party supporters had been removed from the electoral rolls to increase the BJP’s vote share, Gandhi alleged that the ruling dispensation had also transferred votes from one district to another and from one state to another. “The reality is that we have provided proof of how vote chori has taken place in Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Bengal and Assam. The BJP has filed around 45 defamation cases against me, but it has still not filed even one over vote chori because it knows it will be exposed,” he said.
