Mopa airport named ‘Best Domestic Airport’ at Travel Leisure Awards

The award was determined based on a comprehensive survey involving over 186,000 participants from around the globe, who rated their travel experiences and evaluated top Indian airports. Criteria for assessment included airport access, check-in and security processes, dining and shopping options, and overall airport design.

PANAJI/PORVORIMSeparate raids by different arms of the Goa police at Mapusa and Saligao on Thursday-Friday netted a cache of narcotic drugs (ganja and charas) worth Rs 6.8 lakh, the police said.  In the first instance, a team of the Crime Branch arrested Shyam Nandlal Chawan (22) at Mapusa and recovered some four kilograms of ganja worth Rs 4 lakh.  Nandlal, who is said to be a labourer residing at Vasco, was carrying the contraband in a backpack when the…
