Mormugao Council to hold meet to form Carnival Commitee

Mormugao Municipal Council (MMC) will have a meeting on Thursday evening to constitute a Carnival Committee.

Speaking to media on Wednesday, MMC Chief Officer Agnelo Fernandes said that Carnival Float parade will be held on March 4 in Vasco.

“We are having the Carnival float parade in Vasco on March 4. However as per directions from the Director of Tourism, we have to constitute a Carnival Committee. A meeting in this respect has been convened on Thursday at 5 pm. The meeting will be held in the Mormugao Municipal Council Hall. I have requested all the members to take a note of this and make it convenient to attend the meeting so that we can have a Carnival Committee for the Carnival parade in Vasco,” said Fernandes.
