Mormugao Municipal Council (MMC) Chairperson Nandadeep Raut said the council would pursue all pending development works and if needed, would seek the government assistance.

Raut was speaking to reporters alongside a function to launch development works at Merces-Vaddem (Ward 24) on the occasion of his birthday. “We have launched works worth Rs 9 lakh in Ward 24, which include laying of pavers in front of the church, drainage works and three gutters,” said Raut.

“I have requested all councillors for a list of pending works to be taken up so that we can either follow up or take up the works. We cannot keep development work pending for long and these works must be taken up.”

“I will complete the pending projects in all wards and if required, the MMC will approach the State government for help and support,” added Raut.

MMC Ward councillor Bhavna Nanoskar and other residents were also present at the function.
