Canacona police have booked a motorcycle rider on charges of knocking down and causing injuries to a cyclist at Mastimoll-Canacona.
According to the Canacona police, the motorcycle rider, Marc Goes, allegedly rode his motorcycle in a rash and negligent manner, without taking proper care and caution, and while proceeding from Chaudi towards Shristhal, struck a cycle in front of him near the Canacona Police Station.
The cycle rider, Tanaji Bhatkande, a resident of Mastimol and a native of Khanapur-Belagavi, fell on the road and sustained injuries. Goes, a resident of Shristhal, also sustained injuries.
Canacona police registered a case under Sections 281, 125(a) BNS 2023, and further investigation is being conducted by Canacona Head Constable Dhyananjay Dessai.
