Cuncolim BJP MLA Clafascio Dias on Wednesday resumed office as chairman of the Mormugao PDA and conducted a meeting regarding several issues.Speaking to media, Dias said that the main agenda was the requirement of Naval NOC for 4 kms radius of the airport."This clause is unacceptable because any person building a house in the area will have to take a Naval NOC. This clause besides affecting locals have also affected builders and this is not right. The Navy does not have such rules in other states and we have decided to move the Supreme Court against the clause. The Navy has also asked us for records of houses which are legal and illegal around the 4 kms radius of the airport. We have now asked the Navy to give us details and NOCs obtained for the high rise buildings built by the Navy in close proximity of the airport," said Dias.
