The Mormugao Planning and Development Authority (MPDA) will re-draft the Outline Development Plan (ODP) for Vasco planning area.
According to Vasco MLA and MPDA chairman Carlos Almeida, the re-drafting of ODP is done as per government directives.
“As per government directives, the Chief Town Planner (Planning) through an order dated December 28, 2018 has directed the MPDA to redraft the ODP for Vasco Planning area.”
“This matter was discussed at the third MPDA meeting on January 25. As per the provision of TCP Act, 1974, the land-use plan and land-use register will be prepared after following all procedures. The Land Use Plan and register will be notified and adopted,” said Almeida.
Almeida said the ODP for Vasco will later be taken up afresh by following procedures envisaged under Sections 29, 30 and 34 to 37 of Town and Country Planning Act, 1974.
