Mumbai sub-contractor found dead in Porvorim hotel

A 39-year-old sub-contractor from West Mumbai was found dead under suspicious circumstances in a hotel room in Porvorim.

The incident came to light on Tuesday around 9.30 pm, when Bunty Bharat Prasad, who was working as a sub-contractor in the repair work of Kala Academy, was found dead in the bathroom of his hotel room. The room and bathroom doors were found open when the body was discovered.

Police from Porvorim rushed to the spot after being informed and carried out a panchnama. The body was then sent to Goa Medical College (GMC), Bambolim, for post-mortem examination, which will be conducted after the deceased’s family arrives in Goa on Thursday.

Porvorim Police have registered a case and are carrying out further investigations into the incident.
