CANACONA
Three residents of Loliem, Canacona, have been booked by Canacona police for allegedly misleading a Navi Mumbai resident into paying Rs. 1.26 crore for a bungalow and surrounding land that they did not own.
Dr. Deepak Raichand Sondhi of Navi Mumbai filed a complaint stating that since December 2022, the accused”Julie Carneiro, Flora, and Savio”misrepresented themselves as owners, showed him the property, and promised to sell it.
They accepted Rs. 1,26,50,000 but failed to deliver the property. Dr. Sondhi later discovered they were not the owners.
Canacona police have registered a case under sections 318 and 3(5) of the BNS Act.
The investigation is currently being led by PSI Shivram Gawas of Canacona Police Station.
