Navy man meets watery grave at Canaguinim

A 25-year-old Naval officer Lt Ashwad Jaganath met a watery grave at Canaguinim beach on Monday.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Dinraj Govekar informed that the deceased along with four other Naval personnel had come down to Goa for sightseeing. 
The group had ventured out in the sea for a swim when Lt Ashwad was caught in strong currents which dragged him into the sea.  
Soon after the incident, a naval helicopter was pressed into service which later air lifted the body of the deceased officer.  
Deputy Superintendent of Police Govekar further informed that the four Naval officials were members of INS Vikramaditya.
