The sarpanch told the media that the local villagers had to face frequent power cuts due to a major fault, adding that the power tripped as many as 20 times throughout the day.
“Despite the pre-monsoon works carried out by the department, the village faced a major problem. I have taken up the matter with the Power Minister, who has assured to resolve the power woes affected by Aquem-Baixo village,” he said.
The Sarpanch further pointed out that he has requested the Power Minister to replace the ageing power transformers with new ones to meet the growing power requirements of the village.
