The Nerul Panchayat will inaugurate a new crematorium at Nerul plateau on Thursday.

Tourism Minister Dilip Parulekar will inaugurate the crematorium at 4 pm in the presence of Nerul Sarpanch Shashikala Govekar, ZP member Rupesh Naik and all panch members.

All Goa Crematorium Committee members will also be present on the occasion, the organisers said.

OLD GOA: The nine-day novenas in honour of St Francis Xavier will culminate with the feast of 'Goemcho Saib' on Thursday, with several thousands of devotees and pilgrims expected to participate in various religious services at Old Goa beginning from 4 am.
