The One Stop Centre (OSC) managed by Bailancho Ekvott has called for immediate action against those responsible for what it termed as the suspicious and untimely death of a woman in the jurisdiction of Maina Curtorim police station.
In her letter addressed to the Maina Curtorim police station, OSC Administrator Auda Viegas has also called for protection for the four year old daughter of the deceased during the investigations.
Auda said the police should conduct a thorough probe in the matter to ensure that relevant evidence is not destroyed so that the case is taken to the logical conclusion.
Sub-divisional Police Officer, DySP Santosh Desai informed that since the death of the woman has taken place within seven years of her marriage, the Sub-divisional Magistrate, Margao is conducting further investigations into the woman’s death.
