Nigerian held for forging visas

PERNEM: Pernem Police arrested a Nigerian national on charges of forging visas at Arambol.

According to Pernem Police, accused Chikaodili Pedru Madu, presently residing at Siolim, prepared three forged visas on his passport which were already issued to some other foreign nationals. When the visas were couter-checked with the relevant authority, it was found that Chikaodili was staying in India without a valid visa.

The accused has been arrested under Sections 465, 468, 471, 420 IPC and Section 7 (i) (iii) of Foreigners Order 1948 r/w 14 of Foreigners Act 1946. Police is investigating the case.
