No house will be harmed for development projects in Calangute: Minister

MAPUSA
Rural Development Minister Michael Lobo has assured that no house would be demolished for development projects in his Calangute constituency.

He was addressing a gathering after launching the work to repair the gutter at Bokyachi-Aradi, Parra at Rs 21 lakh, in the presence of Parra Sarpanch Delilah Lobo, Panch Josephine De Cruz and others.

The minister also assured that structures would not be harmed during the repair of the gutter.

"Even though the road has been shown to be 15-metres wide in the plan, it won't be widened as much. But we will ensure that two vehicles will be able to comfortably cross each other.”

“We will also create cross nullahs which will join the main nullah to ensure the free flow of water flowing down from the hilltop," said Lobo.
