No leaves for police personnel during National Games

In view of the National Games 2023, the police department has decided to cancel the non-emergency leaves of police personnel and suspend leaves till the event concludes. 

Superintendent of Police (Headquarters) Nelson Albuquerque issued a clear directive that from October 16 to November 9, police personnel will not be granted leave and exceptions to this rule will be considered only in the case of emergencies.

“Senior police officers will take a final call regarding leave requests only after evaluating the available workforce for duty at the respective venues. There should be no compromise on adequate workforce,” an official said explaining the department’s objective in view of the national event that will also witness the arrival of PM Narendra Modi for formal inauguration on October 26.
