No power in Bardez, Pernem on April 18

Entire Bardez and Pernem talukas will have no power for half a day from 7 am onwards on April 18.

The electricity department has arranged a planned power shutdown on April 18 from 7 am to 2 pm to attend to some pre-monsoon maintenance works at 220/110/33/11 sub-station at Tivim.

“There will be no power supply to power consumers of entire Bardez and Pernem taluka on Sunday due to urgent pre-monsoon maintenance work at the sub-station,” an executive engineer said in a signed press-note.

The official further said that power supply will be made available to essential services like PWD Assonora water works, Mapusa district hospital and areas of Tivim, Sirsaim, Colvale, Pirna, Camurlim, Revora/Nadora and Powergrid.
