No question of issuing threats: Digambar

Margao MLA Digambar Kamat has rubbished allegations of issuing threats to people, saying that Madgavkars very well know the BJP leaders who have made the allegations to the media.

“Right now, I am busy with house to house visits. The question of issuing threats over the phone does not arise at all. I visit every house and I have received encouraging results from the people. The media is witness to the response I have received during my door-to-door campaigning,” he said.

Kamat pointed out that he had never issued threats to anyone when he was in power as the state chief minister and wondered whether he would do now when he is out of power.

“When I receive the love and affection of the people during my visits, there is no question to issue any threats,” he said, while saying that the people of Margao know very well the people who have levelled the baseless allegations.
