The State government on Wednesday decided to grant permissions for off-shore casinos to resume operations from November 1, subject to 50 per cent of their vessel capacity.
Speaking after the cabinet meeting, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said, “Casinos have been granted permission to resume operations at 50 per cent of their vessel capacity. Previously, the annual fees were expected to be paid by casino managements in advance. Now, the managements will have to pay these advance fees on monthly basis.”
The Chief Minister informed that the standard operating procedures (SOPs) will be shared by the Directorate of Health Services with all casino managements shortly.
