Social activist and North Goa chief of Rashtriya Samaj Paksh (RSP) Salman Khan joined the Aam Aadmi Party on Saturday.
In a press note, AAP states that Khan is well known for his work in trying to save the Mapusa Tar River along with working on garbage and waste management besides issues of the market conditions, bad roads and parking conditions. During the lockdown, Khan also worked in providing food packs to poor people and daily wage labourers. Khan joined the party in presence of Rahul Mhambre, AAP Goa State convenor and Sunil Signapurkar party leader from Mapusa.
“My sole intentions to join the party was to get a better platform to work for the benefit of Mapusa and to tackle the problems pending in Mapusa for years. I have seen so many issues plaguing Mapusa and literally I feel frustrated,” stated Salman Khan.
