In a heartwarming episode documented on Instagram, Ukrainian vlogger Svitlana Haienko experienced a warm act of kindness during her first taste of vada pav at a local shop run by Rupesh in Mapusa. Haienko, who has over 49,000 followers, frequently shares her adventures in India, but this visit stood out for its touching interaction.
While savoring the popular Indian snack, Haienko was pleasantly surprised when a fellow customer offered to pay for her vada pav. Initially hesitant, she was moved by the man’s insistence. "You are from Ukraine, no? We support you," he said.
Overwhelmed by the experience, Haienko expressed her delight in her post, saying, “I can’t believe that once I tasted Vada Pav, I knew immediately why it is so famous in India, it’s very tasty and from the outside, it’s soft. I was shocked to see this Indian man has the shop for around 50 years which is a big thing according to me. Also it was fun to see a customer paying my bill saying he supports Ukraine.”
