In a major breakthrough, the Anti-Narcotic Cell arrested notorious drug dealer Prasad Walke in a narcotic raid at Assagao early Tuesday morning.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (ANC) Nerlon Albuquerque informed that the accused was caught red-handed in possession of hydroponic weed and a commercial quantity of MDMA and Ecstasy powder, all worth Rs 4.20 lakh.
“Walke was under the radar of ANC and upon reliable information, human intelligence and technical surveillance, the ANC officials laid a trap and arrested him from Assagao where he had come to strike a deal with the contraband,” the officer revealed.
In 2018, Walke was arrested by the NCB Goa unit for possession of contraband such as LSD, Cocaine, Ecstasy and Ganja. In 2021, during the follow-up investigation into the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, the NCB had again arrested Walke, for possession of commercial quantity LSD blots.
