The tourism department has notified additional areas on various beaches in Goa where water sports activity will be permitted both for motorized as well as non-motorized activities.
Some of the water sports activities which have been specified as permissible in these additional notified beach areas include Jet Ski rides, boat rides, inflatable banana and bump rides and non-motorised such as kayaking and stand-up surf boarding.
The additional areas notified include a 50-meter stretch on the Bambolim beach exactly in front of the Bambolim Beach Resort where Jet Ski rides, boat rides, inflatable banana and bump rides besides kayaking and stand-up surf board will be permitted.
Another area on the same beach in front of the Grand Hyatt hotel has been permitted for non-mechanised activities like sailing with dinghy boats, kayaking and windsurfing.
Vainguinim and Dona Paula beach and areas on the beach stretch along Arambol, Querim, Hollant, Rajbagh, Palolem, Agonda and Canaguinim have also been earmarked for water sports, as per the notification issued by Tourism Director Menino D'Souza.
