In a public notice issued by assistant engineer Sub-Div III, Electricity Department, Canacona, power consumers of Loliem-Polem and Poinguinim villages are informed that monthly electricity bills will be accepted at Poinguinim panchayat office on September 25 from 9.30 am to 1 pm and at Loliem-Polem panchayat on September 26 from 90 am to 1 pm.
"Since the bank at Loliem and Poinguinim has stopped accepting payment towards electricity bill, the department has made this arrangement," states the public notice issued at Canacona on Thursday.
It has also been appealed to the consumers of both the villages to make their power bills payments in the village itself thus saving them the trouble of travelling all the way to Chaudi-Canacona.

The Canacona Electricity Department has decided to accept monthly electricity bills from the panchayat vicinity of Loliem-Polem and Poinguinim at panchayat offices on Monday and Tuesday, respectively.
