A home grown information technology (IT) company called Conexao Technology Solutions has launched an internet-of-things (IoT) based solution called OdXel. The co-founders, Kamal Nair and Prajyot Gaitonde, of Conexao launched OdXel in the presence of former Chief Minister Pratapsingh Rane, Chairman EDC, Sidharth Kunkolienkar and Chairman of National Council for MSME, Manguirish Pai Raikar.
Speaking to mediapersons, Nair said, “We think OdXel is an IoT powered companion, which gives its users peace of mind. Suppose you have OdXel at your shop and you are within a certain distance of your shop, then OdXel can send you an alarm in case there is an intrusion or a gas leak. It can also help you in automating lighting of your premises, water pumps
and etc.”
The co-founders further said that OdXel is entirely made and designed in Goa. The way OdXel works is that it talks to existing systems at a premises and then sends alarms to its users in the form of Whatsapp messages, emails or notifications.
Naik continued, “OdXel comes in three variants “ Lite, Basic and Advanced. The Lite variant is ideal for small establishments, like a shop. This variant can check if you have locked your shop or not, if you have switched off all the lights or not, which will help you in sleeping peacefully. The Basic variant is for mid-level segment like factories. The Advanced variant is for smart cities kind of programme. It can cover the entire city of Panaji.”
For the first 100 clients, Conexao is offering a price of Rs 8,000 for the Lite variant
of OdXel.
Speaking on the occasion, Pratapsingh Rane emphasised the importance of OdXel in today’s world for security needs.
