The Old Goa police have registered an offence against one Lee Braganza of Bondir, Santa Cruz on charges of trespassing and damaging a Mercedes Benz car thereby causing damage of Rs 1 lakh to the owner.
Old Goa PI Jivba Dalvi informed that a complaint was received from Santa Cruz panch Prasad Naik resident of Bambolim, that he had borrowed a Mercedes Benz car from Johnny Serrao, husband of ZP member Savanna Araujo, for his personal use and had parked the car near his premises.
“Today morning he noticed that the said Mercedes car was badly damaged while the other cars and vehicles were left untouched,” Dalvi added.
Panch Naik then raised his suspicion on the involvement of Lee Braganza behind the incident as earlier the Mercedes Benz car was in the possession of Braganza. “Never ever had anyone touched my cars,” panch Naik informed The Goan.
PI Dalvi informed that an offence under section 427, 447 IPC has been registered against Braganza while stating that the police are positive about arresting the accused soon. Further investigation is in progress.
