One arrested for kidnapping minor
PORVORIM: Porvorim Police arrested a 23-year-old youth from Candolim on charges of kidnapping a minor girl from Porvorim.
According to Porvorim Police, the mother of the victim girl complained that her daughter had gone out on Sunday morning and did not return home.
Acting on the complaint, the police verified the call details of the girl’s mobile phone and succeeded in establishing the location of the victim girl. Police acted swiftly and rescued the victim girl. The victim girl was found in the State itself and after medical examination, she was handed over to her parents.
Police registered the offence under Section 363 of Indian Penal Code and Section 8 of Children’s Act and arrested the accused Yeshwant More. Police Sub Inspector Sarvesh Gadde is investigating the case.
