One candidate booked

PONDA: Ponda Police has filed an offence against a candidate from Shiroda constituency on charges of setting fire to a van used by independent candidate, Diya Shetkar for election campaigning.
Police informed that the incident occurred at Nirankal on Wednesday evening. Police also booked one person for his alleged role in the incident after receiving a complaint from Shetkar.
Police registered the offense under Section 435 (RW 34) of IPC and is investigating the case.
